New, Exciting Things

To mix things up, I’ve decided to start some new features on here starting this weekend!

The first is this nifty “featured posts” bar at the top of the page. It cycles between the three or four most popular posts in the last 30 days. I think it’s a pretty spiffy feature, especially for those of you who don’t want to click around too much. I can easily get rid of it, change how fast it shifts, etc. so if it’s too distracting, please let me know. I wouldn’t want to detract from your reading experience.

The second new item I am particularly excited about. I am pleased to announce that I will be starting up a One Seven One UStream show. It’s called “One Seven One – LIVE!” and will be a weekly event. I hope to use it as a sort of a video podcast/live chat experience. I’ll broadcast the show live, host a chat about it, then the video of the broadcast will be available for viewing anytime on both UStream and YouTube. The content of these broadcasts is subject the change, but I’m hoping to talk about TV new tidbits for the week that I didn’t chose to write about, get feedback on what I did write about, etc. I’m hoping to also have the occasional guest on to talk to. We’ll see how it goes. The first broadcast is going to be sometimes this weekend. I’ll post a link on my twitter, the One Seven One facebook page, and perhaps even on here, so keep an eye out!
